Fund EIU to Springfield

Since July 0f 2015, Public Illinois Higher Education Universities have been going without appropriated funds from the state due to an unapproved budget. Recently, Senate Bill 2053 has been passed to bring aid to these institutions, however, Governor Rauner is expected to veto this bill.
On Wednesday, February 17th, students from all universities across the state are convening on the state's capitol to fight for our education, and for map pell grants.
Help us send 110 students to the capitol to join in this fight. We do not want to see our own staff continue to receive layoff notices. We do not want faculty to have to take a furlough. More importantly, we want our institutions funded.
Help support the students of EIU in this cause by giving a donation great or small. Anything will help to alleviate the cost for students to pay out of pocket for traveling expenses. So help us spread the word and thank you for your assistance.
