WSMC: Presenter Bursaries

Help us support authors from the developing world who are trying to create positive behviour change for social good.

We represent the planning committee for the World Social Marketing Conference www.wsmconference.com
and we are keen to help raise funds to allow presenters from the developing world to attend and showcase their work. 

All donations will help bring professionals in the developing world working on social marketing projects to create real positive change in their communities to the event. Their work helps promote healthy eating, a range of public health issues such as HIV/AIDs prevention, environmental and species protection through to the promotion of clean cooking and sanitation.  

-  Conference organisers will not charge conference registration fees for these delegates

- Every $1850 (£1505)raised will allow full funding for one author (allowing for 3 nights’ accommodation and return economy flights)

Social Marketing works, it is not the use of social media, but the application of marketing theory and practice to help create tangible positive behaviour change for social good in communities across the world. 

Several great papers have been accepted for the event from delegates who have not been able to secure funding to support their travel and accommodation costs. 

The mission of the World Social Marketing Conference is to act as a vehicle to help build a global movement dedicated to capturing, spreading and nurturing good practice in Social Marketing, as well as increase the efficiency and effectiveness of Social Marketing practice at both operational and strategic levels.

If we hit our funding target we will be able to bring five presenters from the developing world who have had papers accepted, but sadly cannot attend the event.
