Helping Students Get to College

Hi, my name is Emily. I am a South Tahoe High School student working on my Senior Project. I have chosen to raise money to help students who can't afford to pay for college prerequisites, such as the SAT and college applications.

Last fall I noticed some of my friends giving up on college because they couldn't afford to take the SAT and ACT or afford college applications. It was hard to see that these incredibly talented students couldn't go to a university simply because of such fees.

I'm hoping to raise $570 for three students at my school to cover the costs for one SAT exam, one ACT exam, and one college application. This money will be managed and distributed by our on-campus TRiO program. They will choose three dedicated and deserving students to receive these funds.
