Diversity Conference has 72 hours to Secure Venue!
My name is Elizabeth Cotton and I am the founder of the Western Regional Diversity Conference (WRDC) 2017. For the past 18 months I have been leading a volunteer think tank of very passionate and brilliant individuals to plan WRDC. As we are collaborating together to plan WRDC, we are defining ourselves as colleagues and as friends.
WRDC is a 2-day event (Oct 26 & Oct 27th) in Northern San Diego County that focses on reducing workplace disparities for minorities, LGBT, women, veterans and people with diabilities specifically highlighting the tech entertainment and startup industry. The WRDC team has pooled all of our resources to construct an event that could potentially inspire thousands of people, accelerate a million dollar startup idea and disrupt a metropolitan ecosystem for the better.
Through the belief of an angel investor we were granted the venue deposit amount to secure the beautiful California Center for the Arts (CCA) in Escondido, CA. This act of kindness propelled our conference to the next level. As we are approaching our event, the CCA has notified us that we have until Monday October 16, to come up with our final installment of $3,500.
We are asking for your support to help us further build a much needed platform to discuss diversity and inclusion in the workplace. Any donations are very much appreciated. Our general admission tickets are $65.00 but for those that make pledges of $50.00 or more over the next 72 hours will receive the following:
