On 6/10/15 there was a grassfire that burned down my moms house. ANY help is greatly appreciated!

If you are not comfortable with donating online, we do have an account setup for my mom through Wells Fargo if you are willing to go into a branch. If you are interested, please send me a message and I will send you the information needed to go into her account.

From all of my family, and especially my mom & dad and the dogs (Sammy, Princess, Bella, Cinnamon, Bear and Reuben) THANK YOU.

Wanted to give a HUGE thank you to Great Clips who contacted me about donating to my mom. They gave her a check for $500 and two $100 gift cards - one for petco so she could buy the dogs some much needed items and the other a gas card for all the driving they have been doing. Mom is currently staying in Cottage Grove with my brother while they search for a new place. It's been a difficult search due to the number of dogs they have and their limited income. If you know of anyone who could help find housing for them, please contact me. Looking for 3 bedroom (older is ok!) prefer rural area, from Portland to Cottage Grove and even Central Oregon. Max rent is 900 due to limited income (they live off social security). Thank you everyone for the support and continued prayers! ~Kimberly

Kimberly here. Just a quick update to let you all know mama's still in great spirits. She left The Dalles and is currently staying with our brother in Cottage Grove, OR while we work on the hardest part so far - finding housing for her (that she can afford). If ANY of you know someone who can help please contact me! Looking for a 3 bedroom house that will accept 6 dogs (3 big, 3 small). Rural housing is just fine. She needs a place in the Willamette Valley so she can be close to her doctors for her upcoming kidney transplant. Second biggest issue is price: around $900 per month. Both my mom and step dad are on disability and live off their social security so they can not afford much.

Again my ENTIRE family thanks all of you for your generosity and continued prayers.

And as an added bonus, mama found one of her cats last week!! Can't believe this guy is still around.

(From mom #2): Along with a generous cash donation, Alice and Sharron have been our strong prayers warriors. Brother Mike and Sister in law Bonnie what can I say.....you are truly doing God's work 24/7...i don't know how to thank you enough for all your thoughtfulness. God is looking down at you and smiling!!!!!!!!! Sam's son Tommy from Montana has offered to fix a few things that need repaired on our car, Angie, my oldest daughter, bless her heart, took the brunt of my
devastation by being the first person I notified about the fire. I just, even over the phone, felt her love and compassion 'enveloping' me. It's hard to explain..... Something special between a mother and daughter. And bless you Vinny (Angie's other half), for keeping things light hearted
with your jokes like 'well, now you don't have to worry about the rattlesnakes anymore.. Or the ants...or the mice......haha'. It really did help! Sam's daughter Samra has been collecting clothes and spreading the word.
Phil and Kathy Cason owners of Treo Ranches have set up an account for us at Bank of Eastern Oregon in Heppner, and has encouraged friends and business clients as well to donate. And then there is Sam my hubby. What can I say..., you have been my rock through all of this. You fought the fire as it was approaching the house, realized it was hopeless when you saw the fire starting to burn the end of the hose. You gathered as many of our pets as you could and got us out of there safely, keeping your calm the whole time. You are my hero.
To all the people that made donations, THANK YOU from the bottom of our hearts. We are most humbled by your generosity!!!!!!

Hi everyone, my mom asked me to post this for her:

As you all might assume, our lives have been unbelievably hectic since the fire. I am just now getting to see facebook and go fund me comments. I AM SO BLOWN AWAY by the compassion of so many people. Not just family and friends, but of people I have never met. I am humbled by their kindness. We are eternally grateful for my daughter Kim for immediately spearheading the go fund me campaign, responding to the news media for interviews, keeping family in the loop of whats going on plus all the other organizational behind the scene things she does. YOU ARE AMAZING KIM!!
My son Chris and brother Steve have constantly been spreading the word, organizing how to pickup, store, and inventorying what has been donated. A HUGE task!!! Chris's paintball family has really touched my heart. Their response to our needs is if they can't help monetarily or with material items, then they have offered help with 'labor'. Like maybe literally helping move. What an IMPORTANT job!!! Thank You!!!!!! My daughter in Oklahoma has been helping us look for a new home. She scours our areas housing market from her computer in OKC, plus she helps hold me together through all this turmoil by sending me pictures of my newest grandson ( which I am dying to hold for the first time). Thanks for your commitment and love Laura.

Kim, will the media run the story again; especially since the cat was found after all this time. Great human interest story from their side.
