$275 of $75,000 goal

Raised by 4 people in 34 months

Veterans Entrepreneurial Development Initiatives, Inc. (VEDI) is a New York State 501(c )(3) not for profit corporation that was established to help veteran entrepreneurs to grow their businesses to enable them to hire unemployed veterans and empower the veteran community.

VEDI bridges the gap for emerging veteran businesses and provides a comprehensive development and collaboration platform to increase their capacity and raise their advocacy value within the public and private sectors.

Why we need your donation...From the start til present VEDI has had no funding source, we have been doing the work using our own resources and alliances, with minimal help from a few loved ones and free resources.  We will not be able to sustain our work nor build upon it lest we receive some immediate assistance through donations from individuals like yourself; who also care about the plight of our veterans and their families.  Your donation to VEDI is a #VoteForVeterans which helps to #EmpowerVeterans and veteran owned businesses.

VEDI Highlights:
- helped to advocate for legislation to ease certifications for veteran contractors to assist with infrastructure work designed for domestic security and developed legislative models for veteran business protections

- formed alliances with non-traditional partners to increase resource support to veterans and their families through a wholistic format designed for self-sufficiency instead of demoralizing dependency

- bridged the gap between community organizations and veterans in need to educate advocates to reduce evictions of veterans and provide transition assistance to keep veteran families together

- established organizations that focus on specific and unmet needs within the veteran community including access to free medical help, moving assistance and child care.

- developed training modules to update government entities regarding legal rights for VOBs/SDVOBs and advocacy tools to insure procurement protection for diversity and inclusion for major contracts

- formalized proactive initiatives to repair the broken infrastructure within the veteran service arena and broadened the alliance between the public and private sectors to increase opportunities for veteran businesses to increase veteran employment options...

...and we are gearing up to do more...with your help!!!
