Valerie Thompson - Worlds Fastest Motorcycle Quest in Australia

Valerie Thompson stunned the racing world in 2016 with a speed of 304.263 mph (489.663 km/h) piloting the Team “BUB 7” Streamliner to become the first female rider over 300 mph and the Fastest Woman in a Motorcycle. With the goal of writing a new chapter in motorsports history, Thompson is on a mission to become the first racer to break the current motorcycle land speed record of 376.36 mph (605.69 km/h).  Her quest for the new record now takes Valerie to Lake Gardiner Australia, March 12th – 19th, for the 28th Annual Speed Week & World Speed Trials competition.  Help us break gender & speed barriers!

We need $75,000 to get the world’s best racing team to Australia

I want to ensure everyone knows how much this team means to me and minimize their out-of-pocket expenses to make this trip,” said Thompson. We need $75,000 to cover all travel related costs for team members, including airline tickets, ground transportation, fuel, food and hotel expenses.

The quest for the world’s fastest motorcycle title is being is being filmed by P-51 Productions and Executive Producer Dana Brown, creators of “Dust to Glory,” “On Any Sunday” and the award-winning “Out of Nothing” motorcycle racing documentary, as well as Step Into Liquid, one of the highest grossing sports documentaries in history.  P-51 crews have followed Team “7” Racing and its competitors over the past year filming the land speed-racing documentary, “Rockets & Titans,” scheduled for worldwide theater distribution in 2019.

Rockets & Titans is an epic, cross-continental film and inspiring true story about the race to shatter the 400mph barrier on a motorcycle. In movie terms, its World’s Fastest Indian meets The Right Stuff.

“I’m proud to be a part of the film with our bike designer and team leader, Denis Manning. This documentary is an excellent opportunity to showcase land speed racing and Denis’s accomplishments on a worldwide stage,” said Thompson.
Thompson holds seven land speed records on a variety of bikes and is a member of six-land speed racing 200 MPH Clubs.  She is the first female member of Bonneville 200 MPH Club board of directors and recipient of American Woman Riders Association Community Hero Award for support of HopeKids children's charity.

“I’m proud to be the World’s Fastest Woman in a Streamliner Motorcycle, but my goal now is to be the World’s Fastest – PERIOD!“ --- Valerie Thompson

We need your help for Valerie to add another chapter to motorsports history while writing “HERstory.”
