Who Am I: My name is Nancy. I am the proud aunt of the young woman I am raising these funds for. Please allow me to give you a bit of information about who this fundraising campaign is for:
Who Is This Campaign For: Jo-Annie is 14 years old. She has been dancing since the age of 5. She has been dedicated to the fullest to her skills, spending up to 40 hrs a week training on top of maintaining straight A's in school. She is a remarkable young lady. Recently, her parents divorced and this was very hard on Jo-Annie but it did not sway her Passion for Dancing. She dove even deeper into developing her skills and continued to win competition after competition...
CommonWealth Games Invitation: To say that this young woman is amazing is simply an understatement. Jo-Annie lives with her mom, my sister Chantal and her 4 sisters and brother. My sister is now a single mom and is doing an amazing job with the kids.
Last week, Jo-Annie received the much-anticipated news that she had made the Canadian Team for the CommonWealth World Dance Competition in South Africa, September 3-8 2017. We are all so very proud of her!!
Challenge: The only problem standing in Jo-Annie's way to reach her dreams is that my sister Chantal's budget does not allow for a trip for 2 people (Jo-Annie and Chantal) to South Africa to compete in the CommonWealth World Dance Competition .
But because she has worked so hard, it is not right for this child not to be able to go to this incredible competition because of lack of funds.
So, I decided to start this fundraising campaign because Jo-Annie deserves to be at the CommonWealth World Dance Competition and I am confident that together we can raise the money to make this young lady's dream a reality of reaching the Pinnacle of her Dance career and send her to the CommonWealth World Dance Competition where she will compete, represent Canada and bring home the Gold Medal.
How Can You Help: I am confident in this kid's skills. I know that she will do amazing in this competition. Your donation will help her get to South Africa. Please donate what you can and help us in making her dreams a reality.
Urgency: These funds must be raised by July 20th, 2017!

3) All Contributors of $250 or more will receive a handwritten 'Thank you' card, an Autographed Photo of Jo-Annie Competing at the CommonWealth World Dance Competition in addition to a personal Thank you video from Jo-Annie at the Dance World Cup in South Africa.
