World Travel by DIY Solarbike

Hello everyone, my name is Carlos, born and raised in Berlin Germany. I started this projekt in december 2017. Now it's the end of summer 2018 and the quad E-bike is 80% done. I started building with just 60m of aluminum square tubes, screws, washer and nuts, a handsaw!!! and a drill. For some months I was just sawing these tubes and drilling a lot of holes. Day by day I come closer and closer to my goal. When the building process is finished, it will be a solar powered tandem e-bike with a tinyhouse in the back! That's the next step. The idea came to my mind, because I thought a lot about the use of gasoline in this world. I would like to travel, but with normal transportation you use a lot of gas, and that's what I really don't like about travelling. My foot print will be a lot smaller with this vehicle. I have no driving licence and actually I don't want one, especially since I started building. Travelling by plane, train or even car you will never see a lot between your destinations. Going over 100km/h, you rush by all the beautiful landscape, mostly on highways there is not much to see anyway, travelling at max. 25km/h will be calming. I will see eveything between my “destinations“. My goal is to finish it in spring 2019, and go on a worldwide trip with this special bike. I want to travel without timeplan and without a strict route, but south is the destination. I'm an acrobat and music producer and want to share my art with everyone on my journey. I want to play my music and show my acrobatics in cities, villages and in the nature. Create festival-like athmospheres, little open airs, performances, and just a space for people interested in the bike and travelling without gasoline. I want to show that travel by “bike“ and have all your stuff with you is possible without a car. More or less it will be a solar “car“. The bike will be legal on the streets. The law (germany) says: a bike which has 3 or 4 wheels is allowed to be 4m long 2m wide and 2,5m hight. When the pedaling is just supported by the motor, compared to just push a button or something, you are allowed to use 250w by max. 25km/h motor. Ich habe dieses Projekt letztes Jahr im Dezember begonnen, jetzt ist es fast Ende 2018 und das Solarbike ist zu 80% fertig. Ich habe mit 60m aluquadrat Rohren, Schrauben, Unterlegscheiben und Muttern, einem Akkuschrauber und einer Handsäge begonnen. Ein paar Monate war ich nur am sägen und bohren. Jeden Tag bin ich meinem Ziel näher gekommen. Wenn ich fertig bin, ist es ein solarbetriebens Tandem e bike, mit einem Tiny house auf der Ladefläche. Das kommt als nächstes. Die Idee dazu kam mir, da ich einerseits Reisen will, aber andererseits keine Abhängigkeit von Benzin haben möchte. Mein Fußabdruck wird mit diesem Vehikel deutlich kleiner ausfallen. Ich habe keinen Führerschein und wollte auch nie einen haben, vor allem seit ich mit dem Bau des Rades begonnen habe. Außerdem sieht man echt wenig von der ganzen Landschaft wenn man fliegt oder Auto fährt ( Auto nur wenn man viel auf der Autobahn ist). Auch ist mir Reisen, bei 100 km/h auch viel zu schnell, ich möchte so viel wie möglich sehen und einfach an der Landschaft vorbei gleiten. Bei 25 km/h ist alles gut zu genießen. Mein Ziel ist es, das Bike bis nächstes Jahr 2019 Frühling fertig zu stellen und dann damit auf eine lange Reise um die Welt zu fahren. Ich möchte ohne Zeitplan und strikte Route fahren. Eine Richtung weiß ich schon SÜDEN. Ich bin ein Akrobat und Musik Produzent, und möchte auf meiner Reise meine Kunst teilen. Ich möchte Straßen Shows spielen, mit meiner Musik und meiner Akrobatik. kleine Festival ähnliche Athmosphären schaffen, kleine Open Airs und einen Platzt für Leute ermöglichen, die interessiert an dem Gefährt sind. Ich möchte außerdem zeigen, dass Reisen ohne Auto möglich ist. Mit diesem Fahrrad habe ich nicht viel weniger Platz, als in einem kleinen Van. Mehr oder weniger wird es ein kleiner Solarbetriebener Bike"Van" Das Fahrrad wird auf erstmal Europäischen Straßen legal sein. In der StvzO Ist festgelegt, dass Fahrräder mit 3 oder 4 Rädern, bis zu 2m breit 4m lang und 2m hoch sein dürfen. Habe mich an alles gehalten. Bis 250w und 25km/h darf ich auch einen elektrischen Motor benutzen.
