#WORK Against Breast Cancer

Dinez Merrao Performance Training Inc. is hosting its 1st Annual #WORK Against Cancer Basketball Tournament. This fundraiser event is being held in Fayetteville, North Carolina on October 28th, 2017. We have organized a community basketball tournament to develop and instill fundamental basketball principles within our youth, as well as provide a fun and exciting physical fitness amongst the adults. Most importantly, we are emphasizing the importance of breast cancer and educating the community on the following subjects:
1. Breast cancer risk and prevention
2. Breast cancer early detection and diagnosis
3. Understanding breast cancer diagnosis
4. Breast cancer treatment options
5. Live testimonies from breast cancer survivors and family members

50% of the proceeds from this event will be donated to the American Cancer Society in efforts to help the battle against breast cancer. Chemotherapy can cost about $10,000-$100,000 or more, depending on the drugs, the method of administration and the length or number of treatments. Each year it is estimated that over 220,000 women in the United States will be diagnosed with breast cancer and more than 40,000 will die. Realistically, you cannot put a price on all of the lives that are affected from this disease but our goal is to change at least one life.
