Worcestershire Pride

In September 2017 the Worcestershire Pride organising committee will be presenting their first official Pride event.
The logistics of the event are already funded but we need your help to make sure we can pay artists for appearing on the day and at the Worcestershire Pride Festival of Arts & Culture.
On the main day of the Pride, the main stage will (hopefully) be full of amazing artists. In addition to this, as a part of the Pride, we will be holding a Worcestershire Pride Festival of Arts & Culture that will also feature a number of phenomenal acts across different art forms such as poetry/spoken word, visual and live art. Worcestershire Pride and the festival both have the aim to not only provide top quality entertainment, but to also showcase queer art - something we feel Worcestershire desperately needs more of.
To make this happen we are hoping to raise £5200. This will go towards the entertainment of the main day as well as the festival.
The funds will be used to cover:
-Artist fees for the Pride's main stage
-The artist fees and venue costs for the Pride Arts and Culture Festival
-Any other unseen costs in making this a reality
Everyone who supports this campaing and helps us bring these events to life will have their name put on the front of the main stage on the 23rd of September Worcestershire Pride.
"The GoFindMe crowd funding is specifically for paying musicians and performers on the main stage. This may seem like money for having fun, but figures show that homophobic hate crime in Worcestershire is higher than the national average and research also shows that cities with Pride events have lower rates of homophobic hate crime. So its not just for the music to celebrate to, there's worthy thinking behind it and the potential to make real change for LGBT+ people in Worcestershire."
