I am Cody J. Griffin and I am initiating this fundraiser campaign on behalf of my Uncle Woody Higgins and his wife Karen Higgins with her express permission.
On May 11, 2016 our beloved uncle Glenn “Woody” Higgins fell victim in a life-threatening electro-shock accident while trying to rescue passengers from a burning vehicle at the scene of a traffic accident. He is a hero who was injured trying to save others. Due to the severity of his injuries he unfortunately had to undergo amputations of both of his legs just above the knee and is currently recovering from both the surgery and multiple 3rd degree burns. He is currently in critical, but stable, condition at Memorial Herman Medical Center in Houston, TX.
Our Uncle Woody is an extraordinary human being who dedicates his life to his loved ones and serving others. He has served for 37 years as a postal carrier for the United States Postal Service for the city of Houston and is a wonderful, husband, father, grandfather and is loved deeply by all of his family and friends. It is going to be a long road to recovery. All funds generated through this campaign will go towards Uncle Woody’s recovery, rehabilitation, prosthetics and related expenses.
