Profit 4 Purpose- Phase 1
Hi family, friends; and new friends, I'm Nellys, a US Citizen by choice, I had the great privilege to decided many years ago who do I want to become? My decision was simple, this is a great nation, I'm sure many of you already know it, a nation of great people, a nation that allows opportunities for those who are willing to work hard and that is how I come into this picture. As many of you, I have been working hard for over 30 years to support a family of 6 God's giving awesome kids, 1 birth daughter and 5 wonderful God's given kids.(I will explain what that means another day) I started to work when I was 16 years all, the last 28 years spent working for Corporate America , I saved some money for the purpose of realizing one day my dream. I'm 52 years old and I realized that I'm quite behind my financial goal for this Non Profit project; and the light bulb came up, I asked my self ... why not? Let’s raise some funds for a common cause that touches many of us; and here I am asking for your support.
I do not want this to become another tax paying burden cost to us, therefore, the individuals living and accepting our community support will pay us back, They will have to make a commitment via contractual agreement to the center to volunteer their time between school and their paying Job, to work in our community and help with the different activities we are planning to host, for the time they are living in our with us, this will help the organizations to reduce operational costs by helping each other as communities do. Once they have their lives on track, permanent living arrangements, full-time jobs, they will start paying a portion of the total support received during the time they were living with us, this will go to a fund for the community center, this will assure transparency in the finances of the money received. Part of their commitment is to create a saving plan where they will commit part of their salaries for savings to help them to move out on their own and smoothly integrate into a new community.
We will engage local institutions to work with us in this community to support this project.
In the future my goals are to partner with, Bill and Melinda Gates organization to support higher education aspirations for our community members.
As well as identify and reach out to other organizations to help us to exted our support in other areas.
Continue partnerships with organizations that support Women and family successful development.
Additional to the activities mentioned above we will include a section call Profit 4 Purpose, in other words we will build a section in the community for a farmers and craft market, with a retail stores that can be rent to local entrepreneurs, including fun activities to invite the public in general to attend, we are planning as well to create a section of Tiny houses B&B all these funds will be use to operate, maintain and growth our Community.
The plan is to do this in phases as follows:
Phase 1:
Buy the land
Do the engineering – Drawings development
Ground breaking
Built the Community Center with Daycare and is possible the first living quarter.
The initial transportation will be provided by me using my personal vehicle.
All depends on how much we can strech this money.
Phase 2
o Built the initial building to host approximately 10 to 15 families
· Buy the 1 or 2 transportation vehicles.
· Cover Initial Operational costs
Phase 3:
· Build additional living quarters
· Start building phase 1 of commercial area:
o Farmers Market
o Couple of retail small buildings
o Couple of Tiny B&B houses
Phase 4:
· Build additional living quarters
· Build the Meeting Pavilion where we will host many diverse educational, Spiritual, Fun, instructional activities.
· Continue expanding the Commercial and B&B area.
The money we are requesting is to help us fund the phase 1 one of this project.
We are planning to create a public Facebook page where we will be posting the progress of the project and the financial statements where you will see where the money that you are giving is going to.
When the center is operational you are welcome to visit us to see how your money is helping and how your money is making a difference to many people beyond your initial contribution.
We are planning to start in the next 6 months, therefore the intent is to collect the necessary funds between now and June 2017.
This is my way to return in an small portion everything this county have giving me by helping the most precious treasure this county have …their people. This cause is near to my heart I experienced firsthand early teen pregnancy and the difficulties that teens faced when left alone with a baby to take care. Let’s make a difference together, now that I have the experience, energy and desire to keep living a purposeful live and make someone else live good. It is always great time to make good things for others.
