Wolf's Cancer Warchest Fund

$7,415 of $25,000 goal

Raised by 119 people in 5 months

So this sucks, I was diagnosed with Hodgkins Lymphoma Jan 3rd 2019, I had two enlarged lymph nodes removed from my groin on Dec 27th 2018 and they tested positive. Unfortunately we just entered the new year so our high insurance deductible just reset.

We also just moved into our new home back in September of 2018 so the savings are low and we are also coming into to tax season. My wife and I are both self employed so Jan - April are our leanest months of the year.  Subsequently this is pretty much the worst possible timing to get hit with this.

As many of you know I've had a rocky couple years with my health and this is just the latest crisis I hate having to ask for help but so many of you have showed me such kindness in the past and have said If I need help ask... So I'm asking there's gonna be a lot of tests and treatments for me to beat this thing and  it's gonna cost a bit any help will be greatly appreciated. If you can't kick any money in sharing helps to.

This is going to be an ongoing campaign I have no clue what to expect cost wise and income loss wise. I set the goal at 25k but that's just a guess I may have to change that as we fight this. I promise to keep ya'll posted.

For those who don't know me,

I go by Wolf it's been my nickname since I was a kid, professionally I've been an IT guy, Theater Manager, Video Editor, Business consultant, an actor, a director even a writer and up until this diagnosis a part time lyft driver.

My Hobbies have been pretty consistent over the years I've been in and performed in various Rocky Horror Picture show casts and Repo! The Genetic Opera Casts for over 30 years and 10 years respectively, I run the shadow casts at Spooky Empire one of the biggest Horror conventions in the US, I've also worked and been part of the Renaissance Faire Community for over 25 years and ran Wolf's Swordmasters up until 2 years ago. I'm also a bit of an adventurer when I'm feeling well enough to do so going on fossil and gem hunting expeditions. I also really enjoy cooking for my Friends and family and hosting large gatherings. I'm also a giant nerd my home is adorned with all things Star Wars, Star Trek  Godzilla, Firefly, Lovecraft and other assorted geek fandoms I did just sell off a chunk to help with costs though.

I am Happily married to my Wife the lovely and Talented Miss Quin for almost 9 years. We share our home with our cat Tink and with which ever friend or family member is visiting. We seem to have house guests every other week :)

My friends and family mean the world to me both blood and chosen. I'm the guy a lot of them come to when they have problems and I enjoy being in that role. I'm fiercely loyal as many will attest.

I've been having some serious health issues over the past 7 years and they've gotten a bit worse  I've got both Crohn's disease and Lupus which complicates things a bit with now having to deal with hodgkins so there are additional challenges.

I'm fighting and I know a lot of you will have my back So F cancer, here we go.

I wanted to update ya'll its been a few weeks the fight continues. I was hospitalized with pneumonia last week and there's some concern for a nodule that appeared in my right lung during a CT scan I had this week during my follow up. I'm slowly getting over the pneumonia but man I can't seem to catch a break the bills are still piling in. I'm working with financial services but it's hard because we keep adding to the total So help is still needed I've also been out of work since this all began and it looks like its gonna be a bit longer before I'm able to do much. I'll post again when I know more about the lung situation hoping it's nothing but with the luck I've been having who knows. As someone who has never smoked and been a champion of getting friends and family to quit that would be some irony there. Thanks for the Help and Shares this is an ongoing battle I may be done with Chemo for the moment but we aren't out of the woods yet. In silver lining news my hair is starting to grow back a little and since I lost all my appetite during the pneumonia episode I lost 20lbs and am down to 293lbs back in December before this started I was at 338lbs so there's a positive I suppose.

The chemo side effects suck but I'm getting through the worst of it for this cycle. I keep telling myself only 3 more to go with the next infusion set for April 11th, It's weird that one thinks hey being home all day is great you can watch tv play video games and sleep. only what you dont realize it your attention span goes to hell you sleep an hour or 2 at a time then are awake with nothing to do you've watched everything you care to twice and none of the games hold your interest for long, it's almost like being in jail although with all the creature comforts but you're trapped by your body that just doesn't have the steam to do anything productive. and all your stuck doing is watching the clock and counting the hours of the wasted days. As you can tell I'm a bit melancholy today but Im still here fighting and Im still incredibly grateful for ya'lls love and support. The end is in sight so at least there's that.

We got some good news from the PET Scan that was done last week, I've gotten total resolution of the cancer site. Which is amazing. I still have to do either 1 round of radiation or 2 more rounds of chemo to make sure they got all of it. I was really hoping that with the good news that would be it for now as the Chemo has been really hard on me I've been in constant pain with spikes of level 10 and crap coming out both ends for days at a time each go around so the idea of having 4 more infusions is daunting to say the least as its 1 infusion every other week. But if that's what I have to do that's what I'll do. I just means being out of work for another two months with life in general being put on hold. Which I get is nothing in the grand scheme of things but again I was really hoping that I was going to be done. any way that's where we are at. Thanks for the love, support and the donations with out them we'd have been screwed and this would have been far worse. Much Love to you all
