Women Innovating Together (formerly Women of FileMaker) is dedicated to providing resources to help women succeed in their careers as FileMaker developers, through networking, scholarship, mentoring and leadership opportunities.
We are thrilled to offer scholarships to the 2019 FileMaker Developer Conference, August 5-8 in Orlando, Florida.
WIT believes in helping women fulfill their ambitions of a career in innovation and technology and we understand that there are many challenges they face when trying to advance their careers.

Since 2017, WIT has gathered funds to send first-time female attendees to the FileMaker Developer Convention.
Through the generosity of the FileMaker Community, WIT has been able to lower the barrier of entry to this game-changing conference for nine women over the past two years.
It is important that scholarships, like this one, exist as DevCon provides a one-of-a-kind FileMaker learning and networking experience that can help launch a career in tech.
The scholarship program has already proven successful in producing a DevConspeaker in 2018 from the 2017 Alumni roster.

Our mission is to reach out to and inspire more women in this way, thereby continuing to propagate the spirit of reciprocity that buoys the FileMaker Community.
The DevCon Scholarship includes a three-day FileMaker Developer Conference pass as well as a pre-paid registration to the Training Day held on Monday, August 5. In addition, each scholarship winner will be assigned a mentor to help her navigate the conference and get the most out of the experience.
The goal of the 2019 Fundraising Campaign is to afford four (4) 2019 DevCon Scholarships that include the following:
• Training Day
• FileMakerDevCon Registration
• Five (5) nights Room + Tax
MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIPS
WIT offers two (2) memorial scholarships in honor of FileMaker Community members who are no longer with us.
Karyn Witzel Scholarship
Karyn Witzel was a FileMaker Developer and Managing Director at The Support Group in New York. She was a woman who believed in facing her fears. Karyn played a number of different roles in her lifetime: developer, co-worker, support person, learner, teacher, world traveler, comedienne, sky-diver, auntie, sister, daughter.
Beginning in 2017, The Support Group has committed to be the sole-supporter of a scholarship in Karyn’s memory.

Dave Johnson Memorial Scholarship
Dave Johnson founded Wizard Software Solutions in Chicago in 1996. He had an unyielding spirit and embraced life with gusto. In addition to helming an award-winning FBA, he was an accomplished golfer, hiker, cyclist, photographer, world traveler, and diehard Cubs fan.
In 2018, Women of FileMaker awarded the first Dave Johnson Memorial Scholarship.
