"Witch" Artist/Script Expenses

Hello everyone!

As I'm sure most of you are aware, I've worked on my game "Witch" for 2 years now, and very heavily over the last 6 months while fleshing out the script, the world building, map making, coding, battle system, game components, music writing, and so much more.  We've had auditions where over 250 people came through to try for major roles, and cast an incredible group for our leads so far.  We have 2 amazing pixel artists and a concept artist that have joined up, another musician on board, and amazing help by various people in ways that we could have never expected.

To that, I say thank you for all the support so far.

However, game design isn't cheap, and I've done my best to compensate the artists, writers, and scripters that have joined.  Many of them have taken cuts or have even done significant work for free for the love of this game and what we've been working to accomplish.  I sold my entire game collection to pay for a lot of things we've needed so far.  A lot has been accomplished over the last few months, and we're set to get a lot of what we need over the remainder of the year.

I've come to realize though that we need to hire another artist.  While pixel and concept art is one thing, there is a need for more promotional art, character busts for story dialogue, and a few other things.  This will require a lot of art to be done over the next few months.  As well, while I've written a lot of code, my capabilities are limited and I have a few scripts I need to have written that are beyond my understandings, and trying to do them myself has set me back.

This campaign is to help fund a new artist and scripter to get us over these hurdles.  It will remove serious roadblocks and get us closer to having the game finished.  The more we can get handled, the faster and smoother the game's production goes, and it keeps us from diving into development hell or having to stop and start while waiting on assets and scripts.

Rewards for donations:

Every donator will receive their name listed in a special thank you section of the credits, no matter how much you donate.

$10 - Access to a CD-length set of the game's music, delivered in May. The game currently has over 150 minutes worth of music either finished or in progress, and you'll get early access to selections from it as we go. These will not be WIP tracks like I release on soundcloud, but fully mastered and completed songs.

$20 - Name a Random NPC. Numerous NPCs can join your Sanctuary as time goes on, and one of them could be a name chosen by you! Either your name or a friends name. Names must be within reason. These names will be assigned to a random NPC created for the game.

$50 - Become a legend. There's a section of the game where a library holds information of prior mages. Get your name added in those tomes. I will create a 3-4 page backstory for your character. You can choose to have a serious or humorous post about your tale being told.

$100 - Become an NPC - Don't just name an NPC, design them from top to bottom. Pixel art, character bust art for dialogue scenes, choosing their profession, and the chance to voice them if you're DFW local, all based on you or your specifications.

I may add more as i get ideas for more rewards. I won't be doing tangible goods until any sort of official kickstarter. This is simply just to get us over a roadblock we're currently facing. Thank you again!
