"Wish You Were Here" Film Fund

We at Inner Circle Entertainment have been making movies for four years now, and getting significantly better every time. But now we're undertaking our biggest project yet; 'Wish You Were Here'!
'Wish You Were Here' is the story of a young woman, Lisbeth, who struggles with her father's job and his extended absences from both her and her mother's lives. When an event forces their family issues past a point of no return, Lisbeth must choose to either forgive her father, or resent him for eternity.
Tackling this project we have myself - Adam Scullin - producing the film and also penning the script. In the director's seat is my good friend Matthew Mitchell, an aspiring filmmaker and fellow student in the Bachelor of Film and Television at Swinburne University. Behind the camera, we have immensely talented cinematographer Matthew Fregnan, whose magic work behind the camera can be found in Inner Circle's very own Midnight Cut.
We've very excited about this film, but we cannot do it alone - we need you! To do this film properly, we'll need to spend money, and that's where you come in. For an investment of whatever value you choose, you'll be contributing to our film and making 'Wish You Were Here' a reality, while also receiving some awesome prizes and rewards in the process. In fact, you can see those prizes and rewards to the right!
However, we all know what the big question is; where is the money going? While we'd love to cast Daniel Day-Lewis and bring Steven Spielberg on as a director, we've kept costs as realistic and affordable as possible. Here's a quick look at where your investment will be channelled:
Actors. In order to get great performances out of great actors, we will have to pay them.
Food. Those actors - and our crew - are human, unfortunately, and require food to keep them going through our shooting days.
Location, Location, Location! To get the film right, and for it to be taken seriously, we need to film in the right locations. This means the hiring of an office for a few hours, and the use of a house for several days, none of these being cheap.
Sound. Unless we want this film to sound as horrible as our high school films, we'll need to get serious and rent proper sound equipment so the film sounds as beautiful as Matthew makes it look.
Unexpected Expenses. Filmmaking is a gruelling business, and all sorts of crazy things can happen. Actors pulling out, locations falling through, you name it - it'll probably happen. For this reason, we have allowed an extra couple hundred in the budget to try and tackle this. However, if we don't need it...
Festivals. While this isn't a high priority, any funds left over from the project will be used toward entry into various film festivals across Australia.

For those of us working on 'Wish You Were Here', these are the first steps in a long, difficult journey to making more and more films that resonate with you, the viewer. We cannot adequately express our gratitude and appreciation to anyone who helps fund this - from the poor uni student to Bill Gates (please Bill, give us some money). Every dollar counts, and every dollar starts us on a journey that will only continue to entertain you as the years go by.
