Winter Help For The Homeless

Donation protected
My name is Joy Fraser. I am a reiki teacher in Edinburgh and have also worked with vulnerable customers for many years in a large Energy company. I know the benefit system and how often people fall foul of it through no fault of their own.

Although work is being done in Edinburgh, it is cold now and will only get colder as we go into Winter. Thanks to my 13 year old Grandson Eamonn's idea we want to get as many scarfs, hats and gloves to give to the homeless. If you can, please donate so I can buy these, or look through your wardrobes and donate direct. Collectively, we CAN make a difference to how these people go through the Winter. Please dig deep to help those less fortunate than ourselves.

My Grandchildren have been brought up looking out for other people. Eamonn started as a toddler bringging down toys to give away when he saw a request on television. When he was 10  years old he raised money for his local Foodbank at the Trussell Trust. Now I am more than happy to get behind him on this idea to help keep  homeless people warm through the Winter.

The more money we raise then the more people we can help. In this day and age we should have no homeless but there are always people who fall through the cracks and need help

What We Need

We want to get warm items for for as many people as possible living in the streets. If we get a good response Eamonn wants to take these to a couple of charitable places to distribute. I also want you to check your wardrobes as you may have these things lying around and you can give direct to the homeless.

The Impact

It's great that in passing we can buy people a hot drink, or get them some food, but what use is that if their hands are too cold to hold a cup? I give thanks every day for a roof over my head. Hopefully that will also come to those on the streets but until then they need our help.
Eamonn and his family raised Hundreds of pound for the Trussell Trust. Please help him do the same for the Homeless.

Other Ways You Can Help
If you can help by donating money, "Thank you". If you can get items yourselves to give to the Homeless, "Thank you" too.
