As I battle Multiple Myeloma , I have run into treatment costs which are not covered by OHIP which we can not afford. As I enter week 13 of Chemo today,  I have now been off work for about six months. The bills are becoming a backlogged now because of my current inability to work, and our ready cash having been spent to cover ongoing  business costs. I have been trying to come up with a clever approach for paying for the next few months of life and treatments. I have not found one. For last couple of months now I have been looking at unfilled prescriptions from my homeopathic doctor, and other medications, that go unfilled, due to funding issues.  Although alternative treatments offer varying results, I think attempting these options have a better chance of extending the quality and sustainability of my life.
