Wilmer's Family Fund

Just before 6:00AM on Tuesday, January 24th Wilmer Donis was struck by a vehicle driven by an uninsured driver on the 13800 block of Ambaum Blvd. SW in Burien. He was rushed to Harborview Medical Center with life threatening injuries. Wilmer endured multiple bone fractures which include but are not limited to his Pelvis, Fibula, arm, and face. The situation could have been much graver if the windshield of the vehicle didn’t cushion his impact. After multiple surgeries to correct the broken bones, doctors have now stated that Wilmer is expected to recover between 6 months to a year while also committing to a grueling physical therapy regimen in order to regain the strength in the parts of his body affected by this tragic accident.

Wilmer Donis is a loving father of 4 beautiful children, and a caring husband to Adriana Escarzaga. As the primary source of income for the Donis family, Wilmer always makes sure to work hard so he could support his family while his wife cared for their children at home. As luck would have it, they were in the process of looking for a new dwelling right before this incident occurred. Adriana is now taking the necessary steps to find a new place to live, while caring for her husband and kids which we all know is difficult in any situation let alone the situation that has now forced tough times upon their family.
