WILLIAMS FIGHT

Donation protected
William C. Sweger, age 12, of Landisburg, passed away Saturday, July 15, 2017 at Penn State Children’s Hospital in Hershey after a long and courageous fight against Leukemia. Born July 19, 2004 in Harrisburg, he was the beloved son of his dad and mom, Derek and Amy (Rider) Nesbit of Landisburg, PA.

William’s passion in life was fishing and he did so any chance that he got. Many times even stopping on the way home from trips to Hershey. He was a very accomplished fisherman and was nicknamed “The Fish Whisperer” due to his incredible knack for catching fish, even in poor conditions. Aside from fishing, William also loved ice hockey, dirt track racing and golfing with his Grammy and Pappy. His favorite hockey teams were the Hershey Bears and Philadelphia Flyers. His favorite local sprint car drivers were Zach Newlin, Blane Heimbach and Steve Wilbur.

To know William truly was to love him and he touched the lives of many during his short time here with us. William was also the 2017 Boy of the Year for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and helped raise awareness for blood cancers.

The money raised from this campaign will go towards offsetting all bills occurred during Williams fight.

Please pray for Amy and Derek as well as Williams three sisters during this time, they need all the prayers they can get!

Thank you!
