Hello friends of Whitney. If you know Whitney you know she’s independent and resourceful and loathe to reach out for help.
In 2014 Whitney started getting back pain accompanied by neuropathy in her left leg. A series of lumbar epidurals kept the pain away for about a year. In November of 2015 the pain returned, and the treatments that used to work didn't help. Further investigation showed that Whitney has a congenital spinal abnormailty - L6/S1 Lumbarization. The inflammation in the area causes pain and motor difficulties in the left leg.
The past months have been hard as medical bills, rent increase, transportation costs, and especially the missed work have combined to make things kinda scary. The good news is that she’s in a pain management program where she's learning to live and work around the pain. To keep the landlords happy for now though, she will need friends and loved ones to circle up and chip in a bit.
Through conversation with her I found that $5k will help make up lost wages and medical bills. She's working on a plan with her doctors to modify her routines so she can return to work, at least part time. Funds raised will go directly to Whitney to give her some breathing room during this difficult period. Any help you can give will be really really appreciated. I know you all mean the world to her!
