Help Whey Cooler Beat Cancer!

Donation protected

Whey Cooler, founder and co-writer for the 80’s band Pretty Poison is a dedicated family man that has taken on the responsibility of caring for his 88-year-old mother that lives with him, as well as trying to maintain a demanding career in the music recording and artist booking business.

In January 2017, Whey was diagnosed with stage 4 throat cancer that is in-operable. Since that devastating news, he and his family have endured a grueling 5 out of 7 weeks’ worth of chemo and radiation therapy that has left him with major skin burns, no voice, constant pain and the inability to get proper nutrition.

Through sheer force of will Whey has managed to continue to work throughout this ordeal to support his family, but he gets weaker by the day.  As a small business owner, he cannot take a leave of absence to recover.

Health insurance is covering some portions of the treatment, but the medical expenses and personal expenses are quickly becoming overwhelming. The money donated to his campaign will be used to pay for any out-of-pocket expenses not covered by insurance, as well as cost of living expenses as he recovers. We are asking that any donation be made in the next three weeks since he has been told the last few weeks of treatment are the worst.

Whey and his family are very grateful and humbled by the out-pouring of well-wishes from his family and friends, as well as his fans. The support from family and strangers alike have given him the strength and courage to battle his cancer. Whey thanks all of you for reading about his fight with this overwhelming disease and for any assistance you can provide.
