Wheel Power Challenge
One man. One wheelchair. One day. Over 76 miles.
Welcome to the Wheel Power Challenge.
Hi, I'm Adam.
On the 17 November 2017 I will attempt to drive my powered wheelchair 76.1 miles from my home in Cheltenham to Principality Stadium in Cardiff using national cycle routes.
This has never been done before in a powered wheelchair.
Why?
Because I am raising money for the The Turbo Trust . A charity who are helping to provide me with a Dragonmobility Powerchair.
The Turbo Trust are a registered charity that believe in good mobility for all, regardless of age or ability. And so do I.
I have cerebal palsy. This means, in my case, I am unable to walk or fully use my left arm.
My wheelchair is my source of independence.
A Dragonmobility Powerchair will improve my day-to-day life in so many ways; from being able to reach simple household objects by raising and lowering the seat to providing basic comfort with a seat customised to my frame.
As a charity volunteer that teaches wheelchair skills to kids, I also want to inspire the next generation to be the strong and independent people I know they can be.
Any donations greatly appreciated. Thank you.
