As many of you may know I was part of the Irish team who won the world championship qualifiers earlier this year. This means that we have qualified for the World Championships in Australia this August for the first time in Ireland's history. As you can guess is incredibly difficult to raise funds over and over again the better we get and all the amazing places we get to go. However we feel it's more than just going to compete at the highest level. In Ireland there are very few teams playing at world championship level and even less with disabilities. We are trying to pave a way for young aspiring disabled athletes to have role models as well as getting recognition for achievements that up till now have gone unnoticed.
