The Collins Family IVF Fund

Hi, my name is Kate Collins my husbands name is Frank and we have an adorable 2-year-old son named Gavin.  I want to give you some background about our family’s story.  We tried for years to conceive a baby and had a very rocky road,  I had a miscarriage and an ectopic pregnancy.  I was internally bleeding and the baby had to be aborted and BOTH of my fallopian tubes removed.  After this news my husband and I were devastated.  There is no NATURAL way for me to conceive a baby; at this point our ONLY option to concieve a baby was IVF.  We knew it was very costly, but decided to give it a try.  After completing one cycle of IVF we were blessed with our little miracle Gavin in 2013.   A year after Gavin was born we wanted another child and a sibling for Gavin. After completing 2 more full IVF cycles that both failed we couldn’t do it anymore.  After paying $55,000 the cost drained us financially;  the medications took a toll on me physically and the highs and lows of the cycles drained us both mentally.  We came to terms that we were blessed with one miracle. I sold all my baby stuff and tried to be strong and move on, but over the last 6 months our desire to have another child has grown stronger and stronger.  We would love to have another child and a sibling for Gavin to grow up with.  The national statistics are 3 cycles to get one live birth.  With the 2 failed cycles, we are holding hope that another cycle will complete our family. This is the story of our family and how we got to this point.  I am creating this Go Fund Me account with hope of raising money to put towards or support one final round of IVF.  Here is the cost breakdown.
