Emerson Kate Bernier was welcomed into the world at 2:27 am on January 11, 2016. The overwhelming joy felt by her parents, Andrew and Claudia, quickly shifted as Emerson began having trouble breathing. After being transferred to the NICU of Scott and White Memorial Hospital, doctors discovered abnormalities on Emerson's EKG. She was transported by the Kangaroo Crew in the wee hours of the morning on January 12 to Texas Children's Hospital in Houston. There, Emerson was officially diagnosed with Pulmonary Atresia, DiGeorge Syndrome. Sweet Emerson faces two upcoming surgeries as of now. While Andrew and Claudia need to focus on the well being of their precious baby girl, we ask that you lift them up in prayer and provide support in whatever capacity you can. Thank you.
