Westview Elementary Gaga Ball Pit

Recess is one of the most important times during the school day for students. It is a time for students to socially interact, work on teamwork and fair play, get exercise, and make friends. Research supports that students need to move, in order to succeed in the classroom.
Recess is a very important time, but it also can be a difficult time for many students. Some students struggle to access unstructured play, and it can be a source of anxiousness.
This is why at Westview Elementary School, we would like to build our students a Gaga Pit. Gaga Ball is played inside the Gaga Pit. This allows students to access organized structured play, where all students can be involved! Here is an example of how the game is played.
Westview Elementary School is lucky enough to have teachers willing to donate their time to build the Gaga Pit, but we need to raise the funds for the materials.
This is a wonderful opportunity to allow all students the chance to access play at recess. Thank you for supporting our project, and our goal of having every student playing every day!
