Hallo :)
mein Name ist Peter Herberth, ich arbeite seit vielen Jahren selbständig als Hundetrainer und Tierpsychologe. Mehrere Veröffentlichungen von mir zum Thema Kynologie, sind auf verschiedenen Medien erschienen (Wen es interessiert, nachher einfach mal googlen nach „Peter Herberth Hund“). - Bereits als Kind entwickelte sich mein großes Ziel selbst mal die Welt zu umsegeln, nicht nur mitzusegeln. Im Jahr 2004 segelte ich bereits schon mal 3 Monate lang von der Türkei bis auf die Malediven - noch ohne Hund ;).

Seit Mai 2018 ist nun mein Liam bei mir, ein sehr süßer kleiner Hund, den ich zusammen mit dem Tierschutz aus einer rumänischen Tötungsstation retten konnte. Liam liebt es mit mir zusammen auf dem Boot zu sein und einfach alles mit mir mitzumachen. Er ist gerade 5 Jahre alt geworden.

Somit war es plötzlich klar: Liam kommt mit, er wird sich riesig freuen. Wer hätte gedacht, dass sein Leben so eine Wendung nehmen kann :). Sein Bewegungs- und Beschäftigungskonzept steht (u. a. schwimmen in Spezial-Hunde-Schwimmweste mit Sicherungsleine), seine Bordtoilette hat er akzeptiert. Aber nicht nur das, sondern ich werde ihm diese Reise widmen und kynologisch aus seiner Sicht die Reise dokumentieren. Diese Dokumentation wird als Buch bei dem wohl bekanntesten Verlag für kynologische Themen veröffentlicht. Es wird die weltweit erste Dokumentation dieser Art und somit echt spannend.

Im Corona-Jahr 2020 bin ich in der Ausübung meiner beruflichen Tätigkeit als Hundetrainer und Tierpsychologe sehr stark von den Maßnahmen getroffen worden. Und ich bin es immer noch... Eigentlich müsste ich unser großes Ziel vergessen, denn bis ich mich finanziell davon erholt habe, könnte mein Liam bereits zu alt dafür sein. Und das Risiko für ihn wäre mir dann zu hoch.

Um diese Reise, welche ca. 2 Jahre dauern wird, nicht zu lang verschieben zu müssen, bitte ich Euch um Eure Unterstützung dafür. Es ist eine Mischung aus meinem großen Ziel der Weltumsegelung, Liams Freude mit mir alles mitzuerleben und der Dokumentation einer kynologischen Studie, welche dann als Buch erscheint.

Das Geld wird benötigt für die noch nicht ganz abgeschlossene Ausrüstung von meinem Segelboot Leonie, sowie für Verpflegung, Hafengebühren und Spritkosten. Und natürlich für narhaftes, leckeres Futter für meinen Liam :). Was jetzt zunächst ansteht, ist eine Testfahrt im Mittelmeer. Dazu wird Leonie nach Genua getrailert und dort ins Wasser gekrahnt. Dann werden Liam und ich zur Übung Korsika umrunden und an Board alles testen. Diese Aktion ist - wenn das Geld reicht - bereits für diesen Sommer geplant. Wir hoffen sehr, dass es klappt :)

my name is Peter Herberth, I have been working as a freelance dog trainer and animal psychologist for many years. Several of my publications on the subject of cynology have appeared on various media (if you are interested, just google “Peter Herberth Hund” afterwards). - Even as a child, my big goal was to sail around the world myself, not just to sail with someone else. In 2004 I already sailed for 3 months from Turkey to the Maldives - still without a dog ;).

Since May 2018 my Liam has been with me, a very cute little dog that I was able to rescue from a Romanian killing station together with animal welfare. Liam loves to be with me on the boat and just do everything with me. He has just turned 5 years old.

So it was suddenly clear: Liam will come with me, he will be very happy. Who would have thought that his life could take such a turn :). His exercise and employment concept is in place (including swimming in a special dog life jacket with a safety rope), he has accepted his on-board toilet. But not only that, I will dedicate this trip to him and document the trip from his point of view cynologically. This documentation is published as a book by what is probably the most famous publisher for cynological topics. It will be the first documentary of this kind in the world and it will be really exciting.

In the Corona year 2020, I was hit very hard by the measures in my professional activity as a dog trainer and animal psychologist. And I still am ... Actually, I should forget our big goal, because by the time I have recovered financially from it, my Liam could already be too old for it. And then the risk for him would be too high for me.

In order not to have to postpone this trip too long, which will take about 2 years, I ask for your support. It is a mixture of my big goal of circumnavigating the world, Liam's joy to experience everything with me and the documentation of a cynological study, which will be published as a book.

The money is needed for the equipment of my sailing boat Leonie, which has not yet been fully completed, as well as for food, port fees and fuel costs. And of course for narrated, delicious food for my Liam :). What is next is a test sailing trip in the Mediterranean. For this purpose, Leonie will be trailered to Genoa and into the water there. Then Liam and I will circle around Corsica for exercise and test everything on board. This campaign is - if there is enough money - already planned for this summer. We really hope we can do it :)
