My name is Lenny Cochrun, and I am the Executive Director for The Storehouse Food Pantry.
We.Feed.People.
Over 40,000 people per year.
Ongoing and rising operational expenses force us to do this.
May we count on you to pitch in $25/month to help our neighbors?
This way, The Storehouse Food Pantry continues to help those who need a little help.
Veterans, retired people and those folks who work hard but still cannot make the ends meet.
There is a "new class of poor" that has developed over the last decade.
The "working poor". Folks like you and me who do everything they were told to reach the American Dream, but now, after working for years, the Dream is still out of their reach.
Many folks in the Austin area simply don't have money for food after paying mortgages/rent, utilities, etc.
The Storehouse has been operating for 13 years
and has fed well over half a million people.
We are a non profit operation and we receive no government funds and rely on donations from churches, businesses and individuals.
Without this help, we will be forced to shut the doors and the over 3,000 people we help each month will have to look elsewhere for help.
"Many hands make light work" is an axiom often heard, and it is true.
If we all pitch in together, we can continue to feed folks right here in the Austin area.
As we continue to tackle this enormous task, the rising costs of real estate, utilities and fuel costs force us to make this plea for new, dependable partners.
