WeCanRead: Help Kids with Dyslexia

Students with learning disabilities such as Dyslexia often have a difficult time accessing grade level material. With schools losing money and personnel, there are often inadequate funds to hire enough teachers to provide reading accommodations and/or purchase technology to support children who would benefit immensely from being able to access grade level content as they continue to build phonics and decoding skills at their individual paces.
The ReadingPen TS Classroom Set will allow students with reading disabilities to scan and have text read to them in the general education setting. Giving them the ability to learn alongside their grade and age level peers. With a growing student population, Arlington Elementary would benefit immensely from having two sets of these amazing utensils!
On a personal note, I had the joy of teaching about 30 students in the special education population. Each of them are uniquely gifted and hard working. These are some of the sweetest (and funniest) kids you'll ever meet. Please help me help them to reach their fullest potential!
