Help Webster's Leukemia

Donation protected
Hi, my name is Webster Ryan and on July 5, 2017 my world was turned upside down - I was diagnosed with cancer - CMML Chronic Myelomonocytic Leukemia. I've gone from being a music enthusiast who loves going to concerts to just trying to have the energy to get up in the morning.

This type of cancer starts in blood forming cells in the bone marrow and invades the blood. My treatment requires me to go through six rounds of chemotherapy before a bone marrow transplant can be done. So far, I've completed 3 rounds of chemo and I’m to start the 4 th session December 11, 2017. The bone marrow transplant is needed to help promote new growth of blood cells. Once the transplant is performed, I will be required to be hospitalized for 1 month, then placed in an isolation room for 100 days that is only approved/affiliated with the hospital, which is not covered by my insurance. This is to prevent infection and organ failure. A final isolation period is then done at home. This process will prevent me from working for approximately 5-6 months if all goes well.
I found two great doctors, Dr. Robert Bayer of Northwestern and Dr. Patrick Stiff of Loyola that will be treating me, and my brother, Michael, thank God, is a match. In addition to traditional treatment, I am using some so called non-traditional options such as proton therapy, light and audio therapy, taking health supplements, using an oxygen chamber, as well as taking better care of myself. This may sound like a lot but when you’re fighting for your life, alternative or non- traditional treatments become options. My doctors originaly were talking March for my transplant but based on my current numbers it's now being planned for January. To be honest, I’m not sure if it’s the chemotherapy or a mixture of all of the other treatments I’ve been using, so I’m afraid to stop any of the alternative methods until the transplant is completed.

Although I have insurance, not everything is covered and I've already gone through my savings. The cost of the isolation room stay alone is projected to be $12,000-$15,000. In addition, the cost for the non-traditional treatments are averaging $1,000.00 per week. I am reaching out for financial assistance to help offset the cost of the mounting expenses during this time in need. My goal is to raise $100,000.00 to offset the expected expenses that my insurance will not cover. So if anyone would be so kind to assist in my fight for life, it would greatly be appreciated.

Thank you to my family, friends, and co-workers who have already supported me. I could not have
gotten to this point without their love and support.
Thank you and God bless you.
