Please help anything will help... Demicka had lost her job to take care of Tavi...the last thing she should have to worry about is putting her child to rest. TavLeen "Tavi" Gordon wasn’t your typical preteen, she was an aspiring artist at an early age whose life changed at the tender age of 12 on October 31, 2012 (her mother's birthday) when she was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma a form of bone cancer. She had 18 rounds of chemotherapy and after having a 2 1/2 month break they found out that a majority of the tumor was still alive. On 1/23/13 her leg was amputated...then over the next 3 years Tavi faced 5 recurrences. The first three were removed surgically, the 4th was taking care of by radiation therapy, sadly the 5th one was inoperable because both lungs were filled with tumors…which had been found out on 6/7/2016. Tavi was in the process of starting an immunotherapy trial. Painful to say…it didn’t come about... On 8/19/16 at 16 years old she won her battle with cancer when the Lord called her home. She will be truly missed by many but the person who will miss her most is her mother.
