Need a van to Transport Foster Kids

In 1999, Kids Restart saw a desperate need to provide support services to children and families separated as a result of child abuse or neglect.  In 2002, we saw another need for the children in the foster care system and we opened our doors as a supervised visitation center.  Our visitation center offers these foster children an opportunity to maintain, keep and build on the family bond by ensuring that we provide them with weekly visitations as required by DFCS policy and the Juvenile Courts.  

Since 1999, we have driven our personal vehicles and gone through several gently donated vans.  At this time, we decided we would make efforts to get a new or even a newer gently used van that is up to date with safety ratings, have an air conditioner and that can transport at least a family of 5 comfortably.  

Donations to this account will assist us in obtaining a van that our foster children deserve to ride in to and from their foster home, their day care or their school to come to their weekly visitation.  Our foster children deserve to know that their ride will be functional and not have to cancel due to van issues that will take a day away from their visitation.  

At this time, our current van is on it's last wheel and there are more costs in repairs than the van is worth.  We are in need of a new van very soon and we would like to get a new van before the new school year starts.
