WCUCOM Tornado Relief

Donation protected
On Saturday January 21st in the early morning hours a Tornado touched down in Hattiesburg, MS. William Carey University College of Osteopathic Medicine was hit hard, with damage to 90% of our facilities (most buildings unsafe to use). The money raised by this fund will go to medical students lost books/equipment/material, food/clothing, travel, accomodations/facilities, and anything else the students and school need to help rebuild their lives and return to normalcy. The funds will go into my account as SGA President and then redistributed to our SGA account once the school is up and running. This allows me to disseminate funding to those students that are in immediate need as we see fit.

The medical students spend a considerable amount of time on campus in the lecture halls, study rooms, integrated learning centers, and anatomy lab.... all of which are destroyed. WCUCOM is an integral part of the Hattiesburg community, graduating physicians that help serve many underserved areas in the Mississippi community and throughout the nation. The funds you so graciously donate will help make sure these future physicians have the opportunity to give back, just as you do now.

Thank you for any and all help.

Sincerely,

Loren Touma, OMS-II
