WBD podcast's Campaign for Scares That Care: 2019

Tax deductible
This is our 4th year raising money for this incredible charity! Last year YOU folks made it possible for us to hand over that $1,000 check, and we still get misty-eyed about it! This year we are trying a no nonsense approach, while we will still send a very cool, and rare relic from the studio to EVERYONE who donates, this year we will NOT have gimmicky tier levels, not ONLY because Ian is STILL weeping over the loss of his beard (the source of his power) last year, but because Scares That Care is a rare thing that we actually believe in, and would do ANYTHING to support, for no other reason than they are truly doing amazing things to change lives, and we want you to care about that as much as us. So, this year's fundraiser is a challenge, will you help us help this incredible charity for no other reason than it is the right thing to do, especially if you are a horror fan, and because it takes ALL of us to fight REAL monsters! So please, even if it's $5, help us help this beautiful cause.

Scares That Care was founded by Joe Ripple, a retired Baltimore County, Maryland, Police Detective, in 2007 as a tribute to the daughter of a fellow officer who succumbed to a terminal illness.

The charity originallystarted with the goal of raising $10,000 per year for organizations such as Make-A-Wish and the Kennedy Krieger Institute.

SCARES THAT CARE

After several successful campaigns, the charity became more formalized in 2011 as an IRS approved 501(c)(3) and a newly established Board of Directors, we refocused to fight the REAL MONSTERS of childhood illness, burns and breast cancer by helping families that are experiencing these extraordinary hardships cope with the financial burden by raising and providing $10,000 per sponsored family.

We are a 100% VOLUNTEER organization in order to maximize our supporters donations to those who need it!

Want to join me in making a difference? I'm raising money to benefit Scares That Care!, and any donation will help make an impact. Thanks in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to me.
