Vickie's medical expense fund

Hi everyone. As some of you know, the last few years have been very difficult healthwise for me and my family. In 2012 my Mom, Jean, had a heart attack and I lived with her for a few months getting her back to her healthy self. In 2013 I was diagnosed with thyroid cancer, a blood clot, was hospitalized for an infected gallbladder and almost died, had 3 surgeries throughout the year, and ended the year with the shingles. In 2014 I had another surgery on my chest in July, In September Mom was hospitalized again with fluid in her lung and a fall that caused a major cut to her head. In October 2014 I was diagnosed with another blood clot. Then to start this year off with a bang, on New Year's Day Mom was back in the hospital with another bout of fluid in her lung and a banged up head. I took her to NYC to live with me for the first 3 months of the year and she had tons of Doctor visits and two surgeries. She is now on the road to recovery. I am now having another surgery in a  month to correct a problem in my chest muscle from last Summer. 

Needless to say, it's been financially crazy. Insurance has helped a lot but not all the way. I'm still getting bills for Mom's surgeries and Doctor visits that Medicare didn't cover and my bills for prescriptions and this upcoming surgery are adding to the bill. 

It has been something I haven't talked about but now it's becoming a financial burden so I thought Go Fund Me might help. 

I'm coming up on 23 months cancer free and will forever be on prescription drugs to hopefully keep me cancer free. I thank everyone ahead of time and will continue to be as positive as possible that there is a light at the end of the tunnel and that I will finally have my health back as will my Mom.
