Waters School Fish Tank Fund

I'm a parent at Waters School who has volunteered to maintain the fish tank since summer 2015. When my family first saw the fish tank, we thought it needed some love. What we didn't realize was how much love we would receive from students, teachers, administrators, and parents who appreciate having the fish tank in front of the office for all to enjoy.
The large 75 gallon fish tank was donated to the school, but it needs supplies to help keep it healthy and clean. As you know, our Chicago Public School uses funds to keep the school running. I would like to ask those who enjoy the fish to help me raise extra funds for the aquarium supplies and to purchase fish. Many of you have asked how you can donate to help maintain the fish tank. Here is your opportunity! I would be so appreciative of your help since I can't do this on my own. I think we would all prefer that the school spend its funds on education. Even $5-$10 helps to purchase filter supplies or a fish. This campaign is linked directly to Waters Today for the fish tank fund that is managed by the treasurer.

Filter Foam (every 2-3 months)
Filter Carbon (every month)
Fish Food (pellets, flakes, algae wafers)
Water Dechlorinator & some other chemicals
Medication when necessary
Glass Magnet Cleaner
2 Heaters
Thermometer
Python Hose for cleaning
Future purchases:
Auto Feeder
LED light with timer
New Canister Filter (for less maintenance, consistency)
UV Sterilizer (helps maintain fish health)
UV Sterilizer replacement bulb (1-2x/year)
Below: The fish tank and filter have to be cleaned every 2-4 weeks. We attach a long hose to the sink to clean the gravel and replace half the water so the fish stay healthy.
