During the Flint Water Recovery Efforts, Catholic Charities is providing help to those in need through its Center for Hope Community Closet and North End Soup Kitchens. Families and individuals are able to take home bottled water, as supplies permit M-F: 9:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m. at the corner of Louisa and Root St.

It's World Water Day and we still need your help!  The Flint water crisis might not be in the news on a daily basis anymore but the recovery efforts are ongoing and your continued support is much appreciated!

World Water Day, on 22 March every year, is about taking action to tackle the water crisis. Today, 1.8 billion people use a source of drinking water that is contaminated put
ting them at risk of contracting cholera, dysentery, typhoid and polio, and in Flints case, lead poisoning. The Sustainable Development Goals, launched in 2015, include a target to ensure everyone has access to safe water by 2030, making water a key issue in the fight to eradicate extreme poverty.  In 1993, the United Nations General Assembly officially designated March 22 as World Water Day. World Water Day is coordinated by UN-Water in collaboration with governments and partners. Help up provide clean water today with your contribution!

For other ways to help out with the water crisis:

Any time, Any where!  A virtual race was requested by   Beth Kline-Markesino to help the Flint community in their ongoing struggle due to the water crisis.

What is a Virtual Race? Simply put a virtual race is a race on your own terms. This is a self-motivated competition that is organized online where you complete a specific distance by running, walking or cycling on a date and time of your choosing, anywhere in the world. Virtual racing can be done on a treadmill at home or at the gym, at the beach, with friends, alone, in the evening, or at the break of dawn, it’s your choice. Whether you are looking to jump start your fitness routine or you’re a competitive runner, a virtual race is a great way to get a 5K, 10K, Half Marathon or full Marathon under your belt.  A portion of your race fee is donated to charity and you receive cool bling and a swag bag with goodies in the mail.
