Waterfilters and bottles for Bali

Donation protected
Hi!!

We are Puck and Lorian and we are currently interning at Volunteer Programs Bali.
Our aim is to create awareness about the use of plastic and recycling by giving workshops about plastic waste, drinking clean water and recycling.
We have been here in Bali for 2 months and so far we have given over 20 workshops about these topics to children in the age range of 6 to 18 years old.
We are still here for another 2 months and we hope to give a total of 50 workshops during our time here.

But we don't want it to stop there...
Our main goal is to leave something sustainable behind to VP Bali and the community so they can benefit from this for a long time. Therefore we would LOVE to provide every child of VP Bali with a stainless steel bottle and provide to community and schools with a water filter so they can set up a free refill station where the kids and community members can refill their bottle.
In this way the kids don't have to buy plastic bottles anymore and they can drink clean water endlessly from the refill stations.

But we need YOUR help to achieve this goal. In order to purchase bottles and water filters for everyone we need an amount of €10,000. With this amount we can provide around 600 kids with a bottle and we can purchase 5 big water filters to set up the refill stations.
Your contribution would help us achieve this goal! Every little bit helps, and we are so grateful for your support!

A little background information; The streets of Bali are filled with trash, especially plastic, because the people don't have the knowledge about plastic waste and its impact on the environment. Secondly, the importance of drinking clean water and what positive impact water has to your body is not known yet amongst the people of Bali. With our workshops we are trying to create awareness and knowledge about these topics. We educate the children about the importance of drinking enough water every day and what happens with the plastic once you throw it somewhere that isn't a bin. We do this in a fun and playful way so the children learn about this whilst having fun. IN this way we try to make drinking water a fun thing to do and by using a stainless steel bottle it also decreases the use of plastic.

So let's join forces and help us to make a small difference for the good of the environment and the people of Bali!
