Help me finish to my legacy for my community
What is my legacy?
I’ve had a dream for 10 years to give our community a massive town-entrance sculpture that will educate our citizens and tourists on the incredible feats of our WW l soldiers, and also the huge boost they gave to the equine industry on their resettlement.
But sadly my time is running out to complete this impressive sculpture. A form of leukaemia is stealing my immune system, putting me in hospital 3 times with pneumonia. Cancer doesn’t care that my life has been dedicated to family, students and their parents, the art community, service groups and district sport, always teaching, inspiring, and giving back.
Warwick’s Magnificent Sculpture is a memorial to horse and man, an educational tool for generations, and a traffic stopper. This sculpture will be a profound community monument that can only be built with your help.
Our local district have begun funding the sculpture by gifting $25,000 (some pledges are still to come in), but I need to raise a further $100,000 to cover all costs for building the massive 15m high and 18m wide Council-approved steel monument. I will continue to submit applications for government arts and cultural funding throughout this campaign.
Using our local community to create and install the structure, the costs outlined below are based on current pricing for steel:
Materials - $73,684
Labour - $41,117
Taxes - $11,480

Total $126,281
I now need your help before I succumb. I want to give this precious gift to my community, leaving it as a wonderful educational tool for many future generations. I will take no reward other than knowing you have joined me, and together we can say “We did it !”
Please like my Facebook page for regular updates and visit the website for more information about the campaign and the stories behind each of these magnificent horses that have shaped our community.
I thank you for sharing this lovely (and exciting!) journey with me.
