Ward Adoption

We are a family of 5 who live in northern Minnesota--and we are adopting a sibling group from West Africa!

We always wanted to adopt but we always felt like that would be something we'd do when our children got older--but the plans we have for ourselves are seldom the best plans, and here we are with three littles...pursueing to adopt three more!

A year ago we felt our hearts being pulled to adopt and we said yes. We started pursueing the adoption of a sibling group of 2...and then we got pregnant. We both felt like we weren't suppose to stop pursuing just because of the pregnancy, but slowly that door to the siblings group of 2 began to close. We felt confused because the timing wasn't lining up but our hearts were still pulled to adopt. So we waited...we waited to see where God was going to lead us.

As we approached the birth of our third child we still felt confident that adopting was in our future but by this point we got a bit comfortable in our waiting and didn't foresee that future being anytime soon.

A few weeks after our daughter was born God began to work in our hearts in a huge way. He flung the doors to adopting wide open and we felt like he was telling us that NOW was the time. We had to decide if we would walk through the door or stay comfortable where we were.

After careful thought, wrestling with our own hearts and much prayer, we couldn't deny what God was asking us to do. So we jumped through the door with both feet and were met with an overwhelming peace and assurance. And so we began the journey to bring these children to join our family!

The way God has moved this process forward is amazing, and FAST! Doors have been flying open and we are trying to keep up! Andy is expecting to travel in April, and we are expecting to be able to bring the kids home in the late fall!

The children we are pursueing is a boy and his two younger sisters. Their parents died from Ebola that ravaged West Africa and they were left with no parents, and left to try to survive living in one of the worst slums in West Africa. But because of God they are now out of the slum and waiting for us to bring them home!

We already have invoices that need to be paid and more to come over the next several months to bring these children to join our family...We need your help! Please consider investing in these kids' futures and making a permanent difference in their lives by dontating. ANY amount is helpful...whatever amount you feel led in your heart to give we ask that you would and by doing so you are helping to make a permanent difference in these kids' lives, and in ours.

We also ask that you would pray for us. This journey is exciting but it's also very hard and we know that there is a lot in store for us in this process of bringing these kids home and after!

We are entirely thankful for your willingness to invest in this journey with us, no words can describe how much it means to us to have your support!
