Wallace Hammond is the lifeblood of the St. John's NL music scene. He's been providing affordable live sound engineering services for local and visiting musicians for decades.
Wallace needs our help right now, as he is being treated in hospital and recovering from a heart attack. He makes a living doing sound every weekend, so the more cash is raised on this page, the more time he will have to rest and get better, and to pay for medications and whatever else he needs in the coming months.
For those of you who don't know of Wallace's musical journey and contributions to the Canadian music scene, he has been in bands such as The Wet Cheeze Delirium, the Bubonic Plague, Dog Meat BBQ, the Black Auks, and last but not least, Newfoundland's seminal punk rock band, Da Slyme....and more! He's also recorded numerous albums, demos and projects at Vikki-Beat Studios in his downtown home.
If you are a musician in St. John's, there's a great chance that Wallace has gone above and beyond for you more than once, so now's our chance to do so for our beloved friend and most valuable musical family member.
