Tina's 'Stupid Cancer' Campaign
Donation protected
I don’t know about you, but I think cancer is stupid and I’m getting really sick of it!
Shortly after her 40th birthday Tina was diagnosed with Triple-Negative Breast Cancer. This type of cancer is more aggressive and more complex to treat than other breast cancers. Tina participated in a grueling clinical trial, including multiple surgeries, chemotherapy and radiation treatment. After a long hard fight, the cancer went into remission. But it took its toll and she still experiences side effects of that treatment. Now, just a few weeks shy of her 43rd birthday, we have learned that the cancer has returned. This time the prognosis is less than encouraging as she was advised that cancer had spread to four other areas of her body, is now stage IV and inoperable. Tina, not being one to give up, has decided to get another opinion and explore other treatments.
Her journey continues this week at the Cancer Treatment Centers of America, far from her Montana home, in Phoenix, Arizona.
Cancer takes a huge toll on the body and mind, both physically and emotionally. But it can also have a significant impact on the wallet. We are seeking your help with the growing medical, travel and living expenses. While her medical insurance helps with some expenses, there is still a huge gap of expenses that are not covered, especially since she is unable to work and will be traveling frequently for treatment. She’s alone, away from home and needs all the physical and emotional support she can get. The last thing someone enduring such a battle needs is the additional stress of mounting bills and expenses.
About Tina: Tina resides in Kalispell, Montana with her two children, Tori and Rece, and her amazingly supportive boyfriend, Daniel. She is a loving, caring person who always has a smile on her face and is always striving to make others smile. She is kind, giving, humble and stubborn. Her stubborn nature has given her the drive to fight, but she also doesn’t want to be a ‘burden’ on others. During her first battle she mostly kept a low profile, taking care of herself, not talking about her struggles or complaining. She never wanted to bring down those around her or ask for help. She would prefer the same approach again, but her equally stubborn friends refuse to let her hide in the shadows this time.
She needs the support of everyone….friends, family, strangers, God, everyone. Let’s show her that the world is full of generous, loving and supportive people and that she is not in this alone.
Please help by making a donation to Tina’s fund. Anything big or small will be greatly appreciated.
