Bullet Proof Vests for LVMPD Dogs

It is with heavy hearts this afternoon that we inform everyone about the loss of a valuable member of the LVMPD crime-fighting team. Just two months after surviving a brutal stabbing, police dog Nicky was fatally shot while attempting to subdue a murder suspect. Not to be lost in this story, is the fact that two people were senselessly murdered at the scene.

It's come to our attention that LVMPD does not have it included in their budget to protect canine police officers with bullet/stab proof vests. The cost per vest is $800 through Vesting America's Police K-9s and each best weighs 2lbs. We hope to raise enough funds to vest and protect our four-legged officers who risk their lives for our safety.

100% of proceeds will be donated to the non-profit Vesting America's K-9's and will directly benefit LVMPD K-9's.
