Stolen Camera

Yesterday I learned a $7,000 lesson. My camera was STOLEN. ***Please Share***
Insurance is giving me the run around and so is the security on site who is in touch with the police. I am not sure whether this will be covered if at all. If its not, then I will have to take 3D printers I bought for my students and sell them to be able to replace the camera. I really don't want to do that but I cannot afford to place this burden on my family either. It's a crappy situation all the way around.
Photography is such a huge part of my class and how we work. I am so lost over this and would never ask for something like this but it will not only impact my family financially but my students and the resources I have spent my extra money on so they can have the best experiences in my class.

I left it on our equipment desk with only security personnel and our sounds guys around believing it would be safe like all the other equipment in the room being watched by multiple officers. That was a huge mistake. For those of you that know me you know that this camera is a part of who I am and what I do in the classroom. I am teacher and I worked for years to purchase this.
