Sgt. Chad "High Brass" Weddington

Tax deductible
We lose 25 veterans per day, every day, to their own hands. That's more than one per hour. That's a rate higher than most any conflict the U.S. has ever been in.

Sgt. Chad "High Brass" Weddington is now counted among that terrible statistic.

Chad took his own life Wednesday, May 27, 2015. He had PTSD from Kososvo and had told my mother "if you knew what I did you couldn't love me" several years ago. He was wrong, of course. He was loved by his friends and family no matter what, and this nation owed him and every other veteran a debt that can never be repaid.

He wanted help and was trying to get well. Too many things stacked up against him and too little help exists. He had a family and loved them dearly. He always went on about his step daughters and his wife and was a loving son to his parents.

Chad was always there for others and wanted nothing in return.

We can't be there now for Chad but perhaps in Chad's honor we can be there for those veterans like him how need our help. Your contribution through this site will go to the Wounded Warrior Project in Chad's name and in his honor.
