On Thursday Jon and I are heading to Calais to volunteer for a few days at the refugee camps, and we’re hiring a car to get to Calais, via Dunkirk.

It seems a waste if the car isn’t full to the brim with desperately needed supplies for the people in the camps, so if you’d like to lob in $10, we’ll use any funds raised here to buy essentials like tins of beans, underwear, shampoo, deodorant and rice.

Important: your cash won’t be used for our accommodation or transport, of course. We will be buying supplies ourselves anyway, but an extra few hundred dollars would mean we can really max it out.

Also important: we're buying stuff on Thursday, so get get your cards out by Wednesday night.
