Iver the heart warrior

I met Iver and his family in the fall of 2016 and was struck by their kind hearts and optimism.  
Iver was born with a congenital heart defect.  He underwent open heart surgery in his first month of life and it went great. He recovered quickly and was soon home with his whole family, Mom, Rebecca, Dad, Mark and Brother and Sister, Thaddeus and Juliet.  Over Christmas break during a family fun day in Edmonton Iver started to seem sick. Sensing something wasn't right they took him to the hospital to be checked out. He was quickly admitted and is still there. 
Iver has an RSV infection and is aortic arch has re-narrowed. The doctors tried a balloon catheter procedure to widen it but unforutunately it was unsuccessful. This beautiful little guy will be undergoing another open heart surgery at only 4 months old.
His family is incredible! They are staying so strong and positive. Mom, Rebecca is remaining in Edmonton with Iver while Dad, Mark is taking care of their other two children at home in Lashburn.  
Donations will help this family cover any uncovered medical costs, Rebecca's accomodations, food, and travel expenses while she cares for her sick little boy, any unexpected childcare costs and travel expenses to and from Edmonton for the rest of the family to be able to visit.   It will take the financial worry away from a family going through a very tough time.
