It is that time of year for Paradise Police to begin fund raising for Shop with a Cop. Every year for Christmas we are able to reach out to children in the Paradise community with your help and the help of Kmart, Paradise Cinema 7 and the Paradise High School Cheer Squad.
On Saturday December 5th Kmart will open its doors and treat the children and family to breakfast at the cafe. The children are than paired with Paradise Police Officers, Dispatchers and members of the Paradise Police Department to go shopping with the children for Christmas. In the spirit of giving the children shop for their family and of course get a little somethng for themselves. For most of these children it will be the first time they get to interact with a police officer. It really is a great time for officers and children alike!
After shopping the children are treated to a holiday movie at Paradise Cinema 7, complete with a movie snack. Thank You Scott Lotter!
While the movie is playing the Paradise High School Cheer Squad wraps the children's presents for Christmas. They do an awesome job evey Year!
This event is a great way for young children and their families to meet police officers on a positive level. This is a great community event and is going on 29 years now!
All donations go directly to shopping with the children. Thank you for helping us help our community in a unique way!
